KUDHI RAALHU Batch #2

A basic surf program
Batch #2, Start date 08 Sep 2020

This program will introduce kids to the basics of surfing while keeping the core values of Children of Maldives alive in all aspects of the program.

Achievement

  • Independently surf a wave whitewash within a confined reef.

Why surf?

The ocean is an integral part of our community. It is an environment where many will first encounter marine ecosystems and interact with one of Maldives’ most treasured resources.

Introducing kids to the coast and facilitating them catching their first wave can provide a profound sense of joy and possibility.

Beyond being fun, the program creates a positive learning environment for kids and promotes growth through overcoming challenges and safely pushing comfort zones.

Finally, a deepened sense of understanding and appreciation of the ocean and what it has to offer can contribute to kids feeling engaged as responsible environmental stewards and advocates of coastal access and conservation.
