A new approach to understanding flavor. An opportunity to better understand how we perceive flavor and how other senses play a part in how we taste things.

Description
The event is broken down in to three parts:
1. The first task consists of looking at the importance of smell in the perceived taste of food.
- Instructors will split up the group into pairs and have them identify food based entirely on taste and compare it with the results with identifying it with smell only.
- This activity aims to teach the kids how the olfactory system works and how taste and smell both work in unison.
2. Activity number two looks at how sight can play an important role in the perceived flavor of food.
- This aims to make the participants to approach identifying flavors more consciously.
3. The final activity reflects on what is considered healthy, both calorically and nutrient wise.
- In this activity participants will look at processed fruit juices and how their flavor differs from fresh fruit.
